Our Brand Journey

In 2022 Pathways Bible College embarked on a transformative journey of self-discovery and growth. With 65 years of history, it was time to assess our brand image and gauge our stakeholders' perceptions. The results were fantastic – high satisfaction with our education but a misaligned brand identity. So, we prayerfully reevaluated our vision, mission, and values and refreshed our logo and tagline to accurately embody our essence and education quality.

The outcome? Amazing! Our refreshed visual identity showcases our commitment to theological excellence and reflects our passions and values. Our students love the changes and are proud to be part of the Pathways community. The new branding accurately captures the spirit of our college and better represents the high-quality education and supportive environment.

As we continue on our brand journey, we will remain focused on our mission to educate and equip students to serve as Christ-like leaders in their communities. We believe that everyone has a unique calling and purpose in life, and we are dedicated to helping our students discover their own path and fulfill their potential.

Our Logo

The logo of Pathways Bible College beautifully merges two symbols of significance, the letter P stylised to represent the cross of Jesus Christ, and the koru, a Māori symbol of new life, growth, strength, and peace. The cross signifies the ultimate sacrifice and victory of Jesus over sin and death, while the koru embodies the college's mission to foster perpetual growth and movement within students' Christian faith, emphasizing its commitment to missions.

The colours of the logo, orange, watermelon, purple, and deep purple, are thoughtfully chosen and refreshed versions of successful branding colors, evoking positive associations with the college. Overall, the Pathways Bible College logo symbolises the institution's mission to empower students with a strong Christian foundation, nurturing them to grow in strength and purpose, and ultimately making a positive impact in the world.

Our Tagline

Our new tagline, "Work Out Your Faith", neatly encapsulates what we're all about.

Work Out Your Faith ... Practically
To "work out your faith" means to actively apply and live out your beliefs in daily life. Faith must be accompanied by works in order to be meaningful and effective (James 2:14–26).
So while there is plenty of "theory" involved in a Pathways course, we encourage our students to put their knowledge to good use by acting accordingly in their lives. Our students have the opportunity to work out their faith through practical work within their ministry. This means that they are given hands-on experience in putting their beliefs and values into action through serving others, preaching and teaching, and actively participating in various ministry activities.

Practical
To "work out your faith" means to actively apply and live out one's beliefs and values in daily life. It involves not only holding beliefs but also putting them into action through personal choices, attitudes, and behaviors.
At Pathways Bible College, our students have the opportunity to work out their faith through practical work within their ministry. This means that they are given hands-on experience in putting their beliefs and values into action through serving others, preaching and teaching, and actively participating in various ministry activities. By doing so, they can grow and mature in their faith, as well as develop the skills necessary to become effective leaders and servants within their communities.
By providing practical opportunities to work out their faith, we strive to equip our students to make a meaningful impact in the world, using their faith to bring hope, healing, and positive change to those around them.

Work Out Your Faith ... Theologically
Following Jesus can raise a lot of questions. Studying through Pathways allows you to "work out" a lot of the complexities of Christian faith by being equipped with foundational biblical and theological knowledge. With a sturdy foundation, our students are better prepared to navigate and interpret this often-complicated world from a Christian perspective.
Working out your faith theologically goes far beyond pat "Sunday school" answers. It's about digging deep, engaging with profound ideas, probing and exploring big questions.
We believe that growing in biblical knowledge and theology is an essential part of working out one's faith, and we strive to provide the tools and resources necessary to better understand God's character, his plan for humanity, and how you can sharing the love and truth of Christ in ways that are relevant and meaningful.
