Sessions & Day Schedule

10am – Morning Tea, Welcome and Worship

10.30am – Session 1: Worship and the Secret Place
Tozer said that God is trying to call us back to that for which He created us: “To worship Him and enjoy Him forever, it is then out of our deep worship that we do His work.” At times, leading others in worship can take a higher priority than our personal times of worship. How do we nurture our own hearts for worship in the secret place?

11.15am – Session 2: Worship in Scripture
Growing our biblical understanding of worship brings depth and meaning to our personal and gathered times of worship - because worship is more than the form that it takes (although the form is necessary! eg. singing, reflection, or prayer). Tom and Jamie of Souvenir Worship will highlight some passages of worship from both the Old and New Testaments and how that speaks to our expressions of worship today.

12.15pm – Lunch

12.45pm – Session 3: Team Focus: Articulating the WHY and a vision for HOW
Ever wonder what your role actually is on the worship ministry team? Or why we still gather week after week to put voices to music? Perhaps your team struggles to get everyone on the same page? Or having strengths in one area but weaknesses in another? This session will focus on the WHY and HOW of serving as a worship ministry team.

1.30pm – Session 4: Practical Masterclasses
We are drawing in a few extra guests for this one! Choose your masterclass and get practical with an experienced worship leader to share on more specific areas of musicianship and/or worship leading focus.

2.30pm – Afternoon Tea

2.45pm – Session 5: Collaborative Songwriting
We long to communicate the grace and love of Jesus Christ through everything that we do and write songs that are grounded in truth and filled with the Holy Spirit. Tom and Jamie of Souvenir Worship will share key ideas with you around writing worship songs, their process, how they collaborate, and some gold they’ve learnt along the way. You’ll get some time to put this into practice collaboratively.
