GRACE CHAMBERLAIN
ACADEMIC DEAN
BA, BAppTheol
Following the completion of her Bachelor of Applied Theology from Carey Baptist College, Grace began working at Pathways College in 2016 as the Project Manager. In that role, she enjoyed a range of responsibilities, from lecturing a course on the Gospel of Mark, to helping edit videos for online courses. Grace finished up in that role at the beginning of 2019 and moved to Auckland, where she had grown up, to pastor Māngere Bridge Baptist Church with her husband, Graeme.
In 2022 Grace returned to Pathways College and has taken up the role of Academic Dean. She is pleased to be back and is eager to discover all the ways she can offer her skills and gifts to contribute once again to the exciting work of training students for ministry and life and seeing them grow more like Jesus.
Grace is passionate about preaching and lecturing, but her greatest passion is learning. Alongside her new role, she is also working towards completing her Master of Applied Theology and hopes to continue on to eventually obtain a Ph.D. in Theology, most likely in some aspect of New Testament Studies.
ROSIE DEVERY
SCHOOL OF WORSHIP LEADING COORDINATOR
BMus (Jazz Perf), DipCM
Rosie Devery grew up in Auckland as well as spending much of her childhood in India. Growing up in a missionary family with an undeniable sense of the presence of God led to the personal joy of knowing there is nothing better than a life lived with Jesus!
Rosie oversees the School of Worship Leading (SOWL) which Pathways launched in 2012. She started worship leading while studying a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at Auckland University. After a distinct prompting from God during a Sunday morning service she got involved in the leadership of the worship team at her home church, and ended up being a SOWL student herself in 2014. God eventually led Rosie into ministry as a Worship Pastor at Lifezone Church until 2017, and as Tauranga Hub Leader for Worship Central NZ.
SOWL takes worship leaders on an incredible journey of growth as they wrestle with what worship is, what worship leading is, and what that means for the Church today. Rosie is passionate about seeing worship leaders around Aotearoa empowered and inspired to lead God's people in true, Spirit-filled worship.
